I took this picture in 2012 when Chris and I were strolling around New York City in the East Village. I just loved the way the Ivy was taking over the building. Loved that you could barely see what was under all that Ivy which is why it’s today’s creativity prompt.
Recent Instagram photos show that the Ivy doesn’t cover the front like that anymore, but they have a heated outdoor garden, so not all the greenery is gone. They were shut down and their liquor license revoked during the pandemic because they were accused of holding Pandemic Parties but they won their lawsuit over it and were able to reopen and serve liquor.
So now you know. Does this ivy-covered building evoke any creative ideas?
