Today’s creativity prompt is from a book. I like to pull lines out of a book and try to write from them. This time, it was a little harder to find a book. Most have been packed in boxes. But I did find one lone book, still hanging around. “Until fear fell upon them,” is straight out of Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie.

Strange to say, they all recognised it at once, and until fear fell upon them they hailed it, not as something long dreamt of and seen at last, but as a familiar friend to whom they were returning home for the holidays.

The book is a full-length, 1987 version that Michael Hague illustrated. Interesting fact, the book Peter Pan is in the public domain but the play is not until the end of 2023. So please, do what you will with this creativity prompt. Will you continue the story of Peter, Tink, Wendy, John, Michael, and the Lost Boys or will you create something completely different?
