Be brave enough to live life creatively.
Alan Alda
The creative place where no one else has ever been.
Sometimes we all need to remind ourselves or even ask ourselves: Am I brave enough to live creatively?
You can’t live creatively if you’re trying to fit into someone else’s version of you. Whether that’s fashion, decorating your house, your career, your gender, your style, your creative outlets…who you are at your core.
Dare to be THAT person. The person you are at your core. If you can be it now, great. If not, then take a baby step. Or as Ben Napier of Home Town, asked his wife Erin, “How do you eat a whale?” She replied, “One bite at a time.”

You can find support in creating that life, in living life creatively in my Vision Board shop. You’ll find a guided journal to help you develop your goals along with beautiful pictures, phrases, and quotes to guide you towards meeting your goals.

Love ‘one bite at a time.’ No truer words were ever spoken.
Exactly!
It’s so easy to lose your creative control in simple things when you have to compromise with others like those you live with.
I was in this situation once. After I divorced my first husband, my son and I moved in with a girlfriend and her son so we could both save money. It was her house, decorated her way. I had gotten rid of most of my stuff in tag sales, etc to help pay the debt that the ex left me with so there wasn’t much to bring. Our bedrooms were all decorated in our own styles, but the living room, kitchen, dining areas were all shared spaces so I managed to bring in a couple of my own pieces that complimented her style. We shared that house for 2.5 years and when she was looking to sell it and move somewhere else, she was actually looking at places that had room for my son and me to move in as well but by that time I’d saved enough to move out and buy my own place.
